The Venture Collective

Empowering founders who are leaving a legacy.

New York, NY, USA

Description

The Venture Collective (TVC) is an early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2019 and headquartered in New York City (with a presence in London and other markets). It is backed by seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders and is mission-driven to bridge funding gaps for underrepresented and high-impact founders by investing capital, expertise, and network support into rapidly scaling startups with defensible business models and transformative potential. The firm typically writes pre-seed and seed checks with the capability to support follow-on capital through Series A as companies grow.

Eligibility

Technology, healthcare, science, and mission-driven startups with promising products and scalable business models.
• Founders with traction beyond pure idea stage (e.g., prototype, early market signals) suited to institutional VC engagement.
• Companies at pre-seed to seed stages targeting significant growth potential.

Process

Founder Pitch & Outreach: Startups engage via introductions, network outreach, or direct contact — the first step involves sharing pitch materials and business strategy.

Evaluation & Diligence: TVC conducts diligence on technology, team, market opportunity, and potential impact in line with its early-stage thesis.

Term Negotiation: If selected, TVC negotiates investment amount and equity directly with the startup to arrive at customized terms.

Capital Deployment & Support: Once terms are agreed, capital is deployed and TVC supports founders with strategic operational guidance, introductions, and ecosystem engagement

Follow-On & Growth: The firm may participate in future rounds (e.g., Series A) to continue backing companies through scaling milestones.
