Description
Evolution (Genesis Centre’s startup program) is an early‑stage acceleration and support offering from the Genesis Centre — Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading innovation hub. The program helps nascent tech companies validate ideas, build MVPs, refine business models, and connect with mentors, advisors, and ecosystem partners to enable progression toward market traction and investor readiness. It is part of a continuum of Genesis programming that includes other streams for scaling startups.
Eligibility
• Early‑stage technology startups primarily from Newfoundland and Labrador (but not strictly limited by geography).
• Founders with an idea or early product seeking incubation support, mentoring, and ecosystem connections.
• Teams looking to build toward product/market validation and readiness for next‑stage capital.
Process
Application / Onboarding: Founders apply to join Genesis Centre and indicate interest in Evolution or other relevant tracks.
Program Participation: Accepted startups receive structured support including mentoring, workshops, workspace access, and community.
Validation & Growth: Companies iterate their products, refine go‑to‑market plans, and advance toward validation and scaling phases.
Investor Introductions & Ecosystem Access: Through Genesis networks, ventures can meet angel investors, grant funders, and strategic partners.
