AWS Education Accelerator

A 10-week program to equip EdTech founders with the support and mentorship

Description

AWS Education Accelerator is a hybrid 10‑week acceleration program for EdTech startups that want to accelerate growth, optimize product strategy, and scale using AWS tools such as data, analytics, and AI/ML. Selected founders receive up to $100,000 in AWS cloud credits, tailored technical training, tailored business and go‑to‑market support, expert mentoring from AWS executives and edtech leaders, and opportunities to pitch at a Demo Day to education customers, investors, and press — all while retaining full equity.

Eligibility

EdTech startups focused on primary/secondary education, higher education, workforce education, or learning tools.
• Founders with a fully developed MVP or launched product — not solely an idea.
• Startups founded within the last 10 years are encouraged to apply.
• The program is global, though applicants in certain jurisdictions (e.g., China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, Syria, Cuba) are excluded.
• Programming is delivered in English.

Process

Application Submission: Founders apply online during the announced application window on the AWS Startups site.

Review & Selection: AWS reviews applications for fit with EdTech focus, product stage, and alignment with cloud‑enabled solutions.

Kick‑off (In‑Person + Hybrid): The program begins with an in‑person event at AWS headquarters (typically Seattle), followed by weekly virtual sessions.

10‑Week Program: Startups engage in AWS technical deep dives, tailored training, mentor sessions, peer workshops, and networking.

Demo Day: Startups pitch their solutions to a broader audience of customers, press, and potential partners/investors.
