About Us

About Us
BioFam Services (https://linktr.ee/BioFamServices) is an early-stage for-profit startup SaaS company aimed for the financial benefit of the adoption industry. Our MVP (minimum viable product) focuses on electronically automating and streamlining the adoption process through an AI & ML law database through our MongoDB partnership for electronic case files and preparation through Conversational AI, FAQs document matching, surveys, chatbots, and virtual assistants.

The adoption industry is still operating through handwritten adoption forms. We are interested in ways to electronically automate the process of adoption through an AI (artificial intelligence) & ML (machine learning) database for electronic adoption case files and adoption case preparation, speeding up the time invested as the first step forward. Additional products are a comprehensive website and mobile app for the large-scale social services and adoption community. Programs and services include a virtual support group, cultural identity program, mental health counseling, chatrooms, Big Brother/Sister mentorship programs, pen-pal platforms, professional mentorship programs, and a foster care career development program. We are also interested in and looking into R&D in-house tools to measure speech impediments, language decoders, and detect psychiatric mental illnesses through pupil dilation and brain blood flow changes. Lastly, we plan on producing a magazine sharing market trends and resources, a journal where people can submit their adoption stories and solutions, and eLearning/eNetworking Events, eMentorship/eCareer Development for foster care youths.

BUSINESS MODEL

BioFam Services can be summarized in four differently distinct but connected "facets":

1st facet Support & Development for Adoption, Foster Care, Orphan Youth
We are an online community of support for adopted youth to feel celebrated with eLearning, eMentorship, career development for foster care youths, cultural identity programs, reading/video resources, professional business speaking course, etc. There are roughly 447,000 foster care youths currently in the foster care system!

2nd facetMental Health & Cultural Guidance Support for Adoptive Guardians/Bio-Parents
We are an online community to help mentor adopted parents, especially parents who adopted children outside of their race. My parents were never shy about admitting "We can't teach you how to be Black because we aren't Black." Instead of causing this to be the 'elephant in the room' that we avoid, we celebrated it. We outreached to people and places for help but, at that time and era, resources were limited. This program aims to fill that void. I have attached a PDF file of celebrities who have adopted outside of their face, therefore there is a huge market segment and beachhead market for the development of this untapped niche and industry!

3rd facetLegal Aid towards Adoption Case Filing for Guardians, Adoption Attorneys
An artificial intelligence [AI] & machine learning [ML] database that helps prospective couples who are looking to adopt gain insights into the legal NYS adoption process with a step-by-step hypothetical/application case file throughout the various forms with AI chatbot resources, streamline application assistance, a Virtual Adoption Assistant [VAA], etc. The aim is to make people feel comfortable with the long [1-4 year on average] and expensive [$10,000 - $30,000 and up depending on variables] process. Roughly 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 people consider adoption or have considered it, studies show!

4th facetAI & Machine Learning for PTSD Development in Foster Care Youths
An artificial intelligence [AI] & machine learning [ML] database which we can conduct tests and deploy surveys for members of our community to fill out. Their responses populate our datasets which our generative AI, conversational AI, and natural language processing [NLP] methods. These methods can dissect, analyze, and theorize into research, reports, and other related data outlets by identifying common challenges, underlying psychiatric/psychological/socio-economic/ethnic patterns towards empirical and theoretical solutions. Additionally, these methods may potentially improve programs and suggestions for better adoption law(s), mental health practices, and social work.

Competitive Advantage

Quote
Our founder, Eric D. Becker, was adopted into a family that adopted six total times, as well as a family who has taken in foreign exchange students from Turkey, Greenland, Iceland, and Germany.

Eric D. Becker’s Biological & Adoptive History
Both endeavors center around the betterment of the social service industries, particularly adoptions and foster care. I was adopted at four years old by an Irish mother and German father. Being African American, it presented many problems defined as "transracial adoptions," to which a child identifies more with the race/culture of his/her/they parents more than their own. Gaslighting from my peers was a huge problem. Our family has since adopted a total of six different times [five total transracial adoptions and one same-race adoption]. We have a heavily diverse family with cultures and ethnicities ranging from Italian, Sicilian, Native American, Hawaiian, Filipino, Hispanic, Ethiopian, Polish, German, Irish, and African American. We have also taken in foreign exchange students from Greenland, Iceland, Turkey, Germany.

Eric’s A Diamond in the Dirt Foundation (EIN: 86-2309625) is a nonprofit business model looking for grant funding to provide an online ecosystem to support families and friends impacted by adoption. Our primary product is a free service career development program for foster care youth entitled “Well Fair Capital.”

Competitive Analysis

Competitive Analysys
Chat-GPT and AI may likely be the biggest newfound competitor, due to the way it can automate and learn the adoption process and find underlying sequences, patterns, and constants. This is why we are using AI, machine learning (ML), data science (DS), and computer science (CS) to tackle and control the industry and isolated market segment.
