Bound is not a consumer product. Strategy is focused on building strategic partnerships and forming alliances with major organizations in the packaging industry. Bound is currently collaborating with Georgia Pacific, USPS, and the US Plastics Pact. This collaboration will help bound with marketing, manufacturing, distribution, and acquiring new customers.
In short, the two companies listed below are fantastic packaging solutions in their own space, but none of these packaging solutions can substitute or compete with the cardboard box. The cardboard box is our only direct competitor and Bound is the only substitute capable of replacing it.
Boox:
Pros: Boox provides select retailers with a sustainable and appealing way to ship their product.
Cons: Boox is not a substitution to the cardboard box. Boox only applies to a small share of the market and is less convenient to the consumer across the board.
Loop:
Pros: Loop provides select retailers with a sustainable and appealing way to ship their product.
Cons: Loop is not a substitute to the cardboard box. Loop is not a practical way to ship everyday items. Loop only applies to a small share of the market and is less convenient to the consumer when compared to cardboard.
